The songs on Windows to the Light contain prayers and haikus for those needing support navigating difficult times. They helped me navigate a difficult year. Sung in English the songs encourage us to lift our thoughts onto a path of love and forgiveness and challenge us to leave the world more beautiful than we found it. We are reminded that we have a choice in viewing the world as a Light filled place which often requires a shift in perception.
The music is filled with rhythmic minimalist patterns played on piano and electronic textures that create a slowly evolving soundscape allowing space for breath, contemplation and reflection. Vocal melodies resolve into harmonies containing wide intervals that represent light refracting into rainbows. In emotional terms these open chords provide hope that bringing more light and love into our consciousness can heal emotional pain, family dysfunction, depression and trauma.

Lis Addison Composer, Vocalist, Keyboardist and Producer specializing in electro-acoustic vocal music. I’ve composed and produced eighteen solo albums, soundtracks for film and dance and have amassed over 25 Million streams online.
