‘Serene Sonics’ an Ambient Album by Lis Addison
Serene Sonics brings together ambient electronic music and field recordings I made in remote areas of Kenya and Australia while on tour overseas.
Recorded at dawn and dusk, during midnight rains and late night migrations, the sounds of the wild in Kenya helped me calm down from the intense travel and crowds.
Each piece is a Nature Sound Meditation offering frequency nutrients to calm the mind and relax the senses pulling away tension and angst.
The nature sounds are highlighted like timbres in a symphony and paired with electronic soundscapes that give each piece on Serene Sonics a unique character.
The music on Serene Sonics can bring you the transcendent beauty of nature’s sounds, rhythms, soulful voices and calls of wild animals.
I hope they transport you to alternate realms, help you drift off to sleep and connect you to the other beings that share the earth with us.

Lis Addison is a Composer, Musician, Producer, Dancer and Environmentalist. She has produced 17 albums, soundtracks for film and dance and has toured 11 countries as a performer and workshop presenter with her vocal and dance program Kinetic Voice (KiVo). Lis is the founding director of the Singing Tree Institute in Kangweni, Kenya where she and her project manager plant food forests and she sings and dances with the community.
